High Achievers Program

The High Achievers Program (HAP) develops skills required for university level study and entry to the professions. There is a strong emphasis on analysis, vocabulary building, structure of language, grammar, summarising and practise of study and exam skills. Students are also provided with access to Deakin University and Melbourne University programs such as mentoring, pathways planning and visits to the campus to gain first hand experience and understanding of university life and study. Students also engage in Science, Technology, Engineering and extended Maths and design projects.

The HAP has its own teacher/manager to ensure all students are focussed on achievement, their learning is closely monitored and they are active in school community and leadership. The HAP Manager also liaises closely with families to ensure they are informed of student progress and a strong partnership in learning is formed.

Students from our High Achievers Program have gone on to study the following university courses:

• Architecture

• Teaching

• Nursing

• Sciences

• Law

• Graphic Design

• Engineering

We look forward to your child applying for a place within our High Achievers Program.
