Athlete Development – Strength and Conditioning

The Grange P-12 College Athlete Development Program within the Sports Science Academy is designed to build the overall physical capacities of student athletes across all pillar sport streams. The program operates as the physical foundation of the Academy, ensuring that every student has the conditioning base required to maximise their performance in their chosen sport.

Student Athletes participate in specialised strength and conditioning training with a focus on strength and cardiovascular training to develop strength, power and endurance.

At the commencement of each year, student physical capabilities are comprehensively assessed and individualised progression plans are developed to enable each athlete to perform to their highest potential. Development is monitored throughout the year, with specialised testing occurring at the mid-point and conclusion of each year to inform ongoing program adjustments.
